Minutes
Present: Chairperson Melissa Engel, Vice Chairman John Tuttle and Council Members Chatham Carillo, Thomas Cordeiro, Christopher Goff, Barbara Moore and Susan Weintraub. Also present were Interim Town Manager Robert Drewry, Recording Secretary Cathy Sirois, members of the press and citizens.
Call to Order
Chairperson Engel called the special meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. in the East Hampton High School Library.
Presentation: Land Based Solar Array near WPCA Facility
Ron Gaudet from White Oak Development provided information on a proposed land based solar array project near the Water Pollution Control Authority facility. White Oak has proposed funding the costs to build the array and would sell the power back to the Town at a discount for a portion of the electricity used at the WPCA facility. White Oak would be responsible for upkeep and maintenance. The approval for the use of the land would come from Joint Facilities. The project would take six to eight months to construct. Approvals would be requested from the appropriate commissions such as Planning & Zoning. Mr. Gaudet answered questions from the Council and the audience.
The special meeting was closed at 6:42 p.m.
